The name means God's beautiful child. Meko is from San Diego. She is the eldest of three sisters. Her hobbies include reading books, writing poetry, watching movies, watching football and soccer. Meko is a sophomore majoring in forensic science. She is a manager for the men's and women's soccer teams, and is in the school choir.
Her future goals are to graduate, get into grad school and get a good job. In high school, Meko's poetry writing skills gave her opportunities to recite at colleges and even have some published in books.
Meko had been singing since the age of six. At that age, her passion for music grew more and more. R&B artist Alicia Keys is one of Meko's influences. She also finds inspiration from her uncle Steve and from her grandma Mitsuko, due to all she's been through.
She has no specific audience she sings for. It is geared to anyone who feels her music. Common messages revealed through her music would be that of love and pain.
Music has brought her some fascinating accomplishments such as singing the pledge of allegiance for President Ronald Reagan, and being featured on three different CDs. Her music would be categorized under the genre of R&B. When asked to describe the difference between Meko the person and Meko the artist, she replied, "Confidence."
For other aspiring artists out there, she had this to say, "One of the best things you can do is believe in yourself."
I am Sir Coop and this has been your inside scoop.
