Homecoming events under way

This weekend brings Homecoming to Kansas Wesleyan. Fun activities have taken place throughout this Spirit Week in the run-up to Homecoming.
Each day had a theme. Monday was PJ Day, Tuesday was Twin Day, Wednesday was Super Hero Day, Thursday was Decade Day and today is Purple and Gold Day. Competitions were held each day for the best dressed character.
Tonight Homecoming weekend kicks of with a fun night in Sam's Chapel in Pioneer Hall. Come along and enjoy the entries of this year's talent show beginning at 8 p.m. and the pep rally taking place outside. In sports, Cross Country visits Tabor this evening.
Activities Saturday begin at 7 a.m. when clubs and organizations show their school spirit by decorating the stands at Martin Stadium. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three winners. The K-Dub Women's and Men's soccer face Bethel College at home.
The football team makes their first home appearance of the season against University of Saint Mary kicking of at 7 p.m.. Homecoming King and Queen will be crowned at the game. Nominations have been taking place over the past few weeks and the finalists are:
Candidates for King - Andy Brockman, Drew Phillips, James Rivers
Candidates for Queen are Kelli Berg, Jentri Dixon, Jamie Winter
