For the Kansas Wesleyan Football team two tough opponents, on the road has equaled two victories by a combined total of six points.
The teams latest victory was a 20-18 win over host, Friends University. The two point victory marked the second time in as many weeks that the game was decided in the final minuets of the fourth quarter.

It only took an hour for the Kansas Wesleyan Coyotes to sweep Oklahoma Wesleyan in three games, 30-15, 30-18, 30-19, on Monday night at Muir Gymnasium. The match was the Coyotes' final non-conference tune-up before embarking on the heart of the KCAC schedule.

Kansas Wesleyan faced Morningside College in the second game of its weekend doubleheader. After having the start of the matches pushed back just over two hours because the officials were incorrectly notified of the start times, Morningside struck first in the 16th minute of the women's game as they knocked off the Coyotes 2-1 on Sunday afternoon at Martin Stadium.

Ninety degree temperatures and 35 mile an hour winds were no battle for the Coyotes, as they were able to come home with a 1st place on the women's side and 3rd place on the men's, a new course record and had a total of 11 runners in the top 20 on Saturday at the McPherson Invitational.

Our female athlete of the week is cross country runner, Jolene Mick. Mick won her second race of the year this past weekend leading her team to a first place finish at the McPherson Invitational. Mick is a junior at KWU and is from Osborne, Kansas.
Mike Holst

Our male athlete of the week is football's Mike Holst. Holst is a senior middle linebacker for the Coyotes and has helped his team to a 2-0 start early in the season. Holst is a defensive captain and great leader on the field for the Coyotes. Holst is from Stockton, California and is a transfer student from Delta College in Northern California.
