Mozart's The Magic Flute is coming soon to the Stiefel Theatre, in downtown Salina. As a joint venture of The Salina Symphony, the Stiefel Theatre, and Kansas Wesleyan University, The Magic Flute will be presented on Thursday, Nov. 16 and Friday, Nov. 17.

The plot line is interwoven with magic elements, dramatic events, and love stories. Performers include Wesleyan choir members and several community members, including Michelle Dolan, performing as The Queen of the Night who sings an aria with astonishingly high notes. Wesleyan choir members Corey Braxton, Lindsay Kraisinger, and Matt Schwan play the roles of Tamino the Prince, Pamina the Prince's love, and Papageno the Bird-Catcher, respectively.

Many different students have solo parts and select ensemble parts, creating an environment of variety that will be coupled with spectacular scenery to bring a classical experience to Salinans.

The show will start at 7:30 p.m. both nights, and the Stiefel Theatre is just one block south of The Groove.
