Election could bring childish policies

Some on the left believe this election has been stolen in advance. Races are tightening, as they always do - ergo the fix is in. What to do? Braving the inevitable midnight knock on the door, Lyn Davis Lear, the wife of activist/TV genius Norman Lear, proposed on the Huffington Post blog that angry citizens "take it to the streets" if the sweet anticipated victory is snatched away by the Cheney-Rove overlords.

KWU and the choices students make to come here

KWU was founded in 1886 by the United Methodist Church and is still a big part of the city of Salina today. It is located in the heart of Salina, which is a little over 50,000 people. There are about 900 students attending this university. Most of the students who attend are from out of state, meaning that people from all over the U.

Public education in the United States was founded in order to teach children how to read so that they could read the Bible. Now, we see it as a secular institution that stirs up political bickering. Sometimes, the answer to such clawing and nitpicking among people who are trying to please their constituents ends in a complicated compromise.
