Kansas Wesleyan Debate and Forensics Team comes out strong

The team traveled to Norman, Okla., to compete in the Oklahoma University Invitational. In Parliamentary Debate, Eric Arganbright and Megan Hagaman placed third. Megan was the third-place speaker, and Jeriah Forbes was the sixth-place debate speaker.
In Individual Events Forbes took first in Informative Speaking, and third in Extemporaneous Speaking. Megan Hagaman placed first in extemporaneous Speaking, third in Communication Analysis and fourth in After Dinner Speaking. Hagaman also placed third in overall Individual Events and first in the overall Debate and Forensics Sweepstakes. Amanda Nell Gawith placed second in Prose Interpretation. Daniele Leite and Eric Arganbright took first in Duo Interpretation of Literature.
Last weekend, the Kansas Wesleyan Squad headed to St. Louis to compete at the Washington University Invitational. Hagaman and Arganbright placed fourth in Parliamentary Debate. Jeriah Forbes placed second in Informative Speaking and second in Persuasive Speaking. Amanda Nell Gawith placed fourth in Persuasive Speaking, fourth in Impromptu Speaking and fourth place in Dramatic Interpretation.
John Mikolajcik placed third in Extemporaneous Speaking; he and Gawith placed second in Duo Interpretation of Literature. Megan Hagaman placed fourth in Lincoln Douglas Debate. For the second week in a row, Leite and Arganbright took first in Duo Interpretation of Literature. K-Dub took second in team sweepstakes.
