Kansas Wesleyan honored its football seniors before the game, and sent them out in style as the Coyotes dominated the Bethany Swedes en route to a 31-16 win on Saturday at Salina Stadium. Senior tailback Darell Grames moved into third all-time on the KWU rushing leaders list on his first carry of the game.

In the first years of his life, Wayne Johnson's parents had a feeling that he would be an athlete. Wayne was born in Glendale, Calif., on March 5, 1983. This year is his senior year of college at Kansas Wesleyan University, and he has been playing soccer for most of his life; however, Wayne has only been playing goalkeeper since his junior year in high school.

Kansas Wesleyan moved to 3-1 on the season with a 61-57 win over NCAA-II Newman University on Saturday night at Fugate Gym in Wichita. "It was a great game, and we fought really hard," KWU coach Tommy DeSalme said in an interview with the Salina Journal. "This is the first game we guarded the whole game and the first time we've gone a whole game and our offense didn't take away from our defense.

Whitney Johnson Johnson is a senior on the women's soccer team, and for the second time in as many years, she was named second team all KCAC. Johnson was a leader for the lady Coyotes all season long and played great during the conference tournament at the end of the season.
