Advanced art students showcase their work
Issue date: 12/8/06 Section: News
Advanced Studio art students have their semester's work on display in The Gallery in Sams Hall of Fine Arts.
The portfolio presentations include drawing, painting, photography and graphic design. "This is the first time in 9 years we have shown student work at the conclusion of the semester" reported Brad Anderson, Art Department Chair, "We had a change in the gallery schedule and also had some very busy advanced students."
The art faculty reported that they were pleased with student accomplishments this semester. Usually art students formally show their work only in May as part of the Annual Student Art Show. That show is selected by an outside juror, and less than half the entries make it to the gallery wall.
The work will be on display now through December 13. The gallery is open from 9 to 9 Monday through Friday.
