Men's basketball wins season opener
KWU forced 29 Southwestern turnovers, and turned them into 41 points, as the Coyotes routed the defending KCAC Champion Southwestern Moundbuilders 79-54 on Saturday night at Muir Gym. Wesleyan jumped out to a 4-0 lead with 17:53 to go on a layup by Trey Sims, before Rodney Jackson hit a three for Southwestern to get them within one at 4-3.

Women log second successful season in a row

For the second time in consecutive years, the Lady Coyotes made it to regional playoffs showing the high degree of success by the rejuvenated program. Mike Dibbini became the Head Coach at Kansas Wesleyan University in January 2005. In his first season, Dibbini returned the Coyote soccer programs to their previous glory, capturing the 2005 Men's KCAC Regular Season and Post-Season Tournament Championships, and led the women to their first ever KCAC Post-Season Tournament Championship with a 15-3-2 overall record.

December on the road for both men's and women's basketball

While the rest of the students return home for their winter break, the men's and women's basketball teams will be a facing a December on the road. Both the men's and women's basketball teams have played their only home game of the month. The men used the home court advantage to beat Southwestern and the women used the home court to push Southwestern to the limit before losing by one point.

Soccer coach speaks
Mike Dibbini, head men's and women's soccer coach, spoke at Kansas Wesleyan University's Alumni Association meeting on Thursday, Dec. 14, at noon in Stewart Dining Room. Dibbini became the Head Coach at Kansas Wesleyan University in January 2005. In his first season, the men captured the 2005 Men's KCAC Regular Season and Post-Season Tournament Championships, and the women went to their first ever KCAC Post-Season Tournament Championship with a 15-3-2 overall record.
