Kansas Wesleyan Universities new Student Activities Center is scheduled to be completed by January 2008. According to Wayne Schneider, the project may be one month behind schedule because of the winter weather. Construction still continues but because of the cold temperature certain work cannot be completed. Students can expect construction to carry on as they walk around campus.
The new Student Activities Center will be an exciting new addition to the KWU campus. Many people will have the opportunity, upon completion of the project, to use a new fitness center, gymnasium, have a place to study or just relax with others. Allowing the students to use this multi-space will encourage them to get to know others and become more involved with campus activities.
This Activities Center is only a small step in the University overall plan to enhance the KWU campus. Over the next five years KWU campus will experience many new exciting features. Wayne Schneider stated that the campus will have a overall different look once completed. KWU staff is looking at possibly adding a new dorm, adding more parking, improve the landscaping, modify the stadium, and more.
The new Student Activities Center is a start to the new look of the KWU campus.
