KWU All-Americans Honored

The athletes were anounced in front of a sold out crowd that was there to support the basketball teams as KWU played host to Tabor. The college achivement that were being recognized ranged from All-Americans to athletes that were selected for awards during their fall season.
Coach Colby Hensley was honored for his achivement of assistant Coach of the Year for football. Only one coach at each divison of football was awarded assistant coach of the year. Darell Grames, Justin Schropp, and Eric Williams were the players recognized for the sport of football. Men's soccer regonized All-Americans Trey Thompson and Wayne Johnson. Women's soccer regonized Juliet Cervantes, Kelly Holloway, Heather Muilenberg, and Jessica Resendez. The group was rounded out by Kolby Rhoades who was honored for her achivements in volleyball. Each person honored was given a poster with his or her picture and achivements printed on it. Most of the large crowed in attendence was on their feet as each individual was called out. " It was great to be up there and get that response from friends and teammates in the stands," said Kelly Holloway of women's soccer.
Holloway was also honored as an All-American scholar athlete along with teammate Jessica Resendez. Nicole Heptig, of women's cross country, was also honored as a scholar athlete. Darell Grames, Seth Franklin, Zac Foster, Eric Ritzman, and Wes Thompson were football players that were also recognized as scholoar athletes.
