Debate, forensics make good at Christian college nationals

The Coyote Debate & Forensics Team traveled to Riverside, California for the Christian college national Debate & Forensics tournament on March 2, 3, and 4. The Coyotes brought home 3 National Championships and 20 awards.
John Mikolajcik won the national championship in novice Lincoln Douglas debate and was the best speaker in that division. Megan Hagaman was awarded the national championship as the top speaker in Lincoln Douglas Debate for all divisions. Amanda Gawith was crowned the national champion in Faith Literature Interpretation.
Other placings were: Rodney Wren with second in Faith Literature second in Extemporaneous Speaking, and sixth in Communications Analysis; Amanda Gawith placed second in Dramatic Interpretation; Megan Hagaman placed fourth in Lincoln Douglas debate Tournament. Jeriah Forbes placed fourth in Informative Speaking and was a semifinalist in Extemporaneous speaking; John Mikolajcik placed fifth in Novice After Dinner Speaking. In Open duo Interpretation, Amanda Gawith and Rodney Wren placed second, In novice Duo Interpretation, John Mikolajcik and Daniele Leite placed sixth. Kansas Wesleyan's Reader's Theatre with Rodney Wren, Amanda Gawith, Daniele Leite, and Eric Arganbright placed third. Rodney Wren and Amanda Hagaman placed eighth in Parliamentary Debate.
In novice Individual Sweepstakes, John Mikolajcik placed sixth. In Open Individual Sweepstakes, Megan Hagaman placed tenth,Rodney Wren placed sixth, and Amanda Gawith placedfourth.
