KWU basketball standouts Marcus Faubion and Anothy Smith will be teammates at the next level.

Both Faubion and Smith will play for the USBL Kansas Cagerz this season. Both players have started practice with the team and are looking forward to their first pro season. Faubion stated after being selected in the fourth round of the draft, "It's exciting, playing here in Salina with KWU was awesome. I'm glad I have the opportunity to play in Salina again. It's a great city, I'm excited." The USBL season runs from late April until late June.
