The new student life building is expected to open its doors later than originally expected. Construction on the new building began early last fall. The building was originally scheduled to be opened by the beginning of the spring 2008 semester, but due to weather conditions throughout the spring and summer months, progress has been set back.

Renovation took place in the Sams Hall of Fine Arts during the summer. Throughout the next two weeks, improvements will be made to the building's lab facili¬ties as well as the video produc¬tion room. Tuesday night, August 21st at 9:00 pm, marked the first meeting of the year for "The Calling." This orga¬nization is nothing new to the campus of Kansas Wesleyan University, but this year students will see many new additions to the Christian atmosphere on campus.

Finally, after two years of planning, the new parking lot by the Science Hall will be completely finished in less than a month. Two years ago, while making plans for the new student center, Kansas Wesleyan University was also struggling with places for students to park since enrollment was steadily increasing.

Kansas Wesleyan welcomes six professors to the staff. These professors range in backgrounds and degrees. These six are ready to contribute to the growth of KWU's eager students and their educations. The first to be introduced is Rich¬ard Esvang who enters the school as the Assistant Professor of Com¬munication Studies and Theatre Arts.
