Classes have begun and so has the excitement to begin the competition and fun of intramural sports. Intramurals are hot on the campus of Kansas Wesleyan University and "It's all about the shirt."

Students all over the campus are excited to play intramural sports, not only for competition, but also just to have fun with some friends. When asked, "Why do you enjoy intramural sports?" Senior soccer player Tyler Colby answered, "I like to play most of the intramural sports because they are competitive and at the same time keep me in shape for soccer," he added, "It's fun to just get out there with your friends, run around and make a fool of yourself."

September 7th is the day that students can decide whether or not to make a flag football team. Many students enjoy this intramural sport because it stresses team work and is a physical sport.

September 9th is the Nintendo Wii Bowling tournament, for those who can not wait until second semester for the real bowling tournament. Also, on September 10th, the Frisbee golf entries are due. There are plenty of intramural sports for students to participate in that suite their personalities and abilities.

Colby was asked, "What is your favorite intramural sport and why?" He replied, "I really enjoy basketball, because in junior high, I played on my school team and I really miss the sport. So this is my time to play, and remember why I loved the game so much."

Throughout the school year, there are many different intramural sports that students can participate in to stay active. Football, Basketball, Volleyball, Frisbee Golf, Ping Pong, Softball, Bowling and many more. Soccer is a new intramural sport this year.
