Visually impaired student begins freshman year
20-year-old Anna Hind is a visually impaired student entering her first year at Kansas Wesleyan.

Hind was born in Wichita, Kansas. She has no brothers or sisters, and her favorite kind of food is Italian. She loves all sorts of music. In the future, she would also like to spin some DJ sessions. Hind goes on to describe another of her favorite things to do. "I love acting," she said about another of her performing passions.

Hind is legally blind, but is able to see some shapes and shadows. She attended three different schools, one of which was a school for the blind. Hind took some courses at Salina South High, including drama. Hind is currently undecided about her major in college, but is considering getting a minor in English. She is taking 13 hours this semester. She plans to study language translation and then becoming a court translator.

Hind loves enjoying life and having a great time. She loves to make everyone around her laugh. Hind wants everyone to know that, though she is visually impaired, "[She] still enjoys life as anyone else would."
