night at Salina Stadium,
making them 2-1 in season.
An unfortunate combination of turnovers and penalties threatened
the outcome of the game for KWU. Coach Dave Dallas feels this had a profound affect on the game.
"There would have been a difference
in the score of the game and we probably would have scored more points if there weren't as many turnovers," Dallas said.
For the past three games, Wesleyan
seems as if they are "waiting
until the last minute" to prove their style of play.
At the start of the game, kicker Troy Van Blarcom put the Coyotes on the scoreboard with his 34-yard field goal at the clock's 4:42 mark, making it a 3-0 game.
KWU seemed to be in control of the first half both offensively and defensively, but SAGU responded
quickly.
SAGU's quarterback scored a touchdown from four yards out of the KWU end zone, but linebacker
Brandon McGinn blocked the Lion's PAT kick, ending the

The final score of the game was 30-28.
KWU racked up a total of 376 offensive yards.
"Bethel was a lot better than this team. They were more competitive
than SAGU," running back Brad Cintas said.
"We just play down to the level of our opponents."
Defensive players Richard Raught and Colten Cample led the defense with nine tackles each.
"We need to get down to business
for our game against Southwestern
this Saturday," Cintas said.
"We have to step it up and execute better both offensively and defensively. It's going to be an exciting weekend because it's homecoming."
