It's that time again; homecoming
events are underway at Kansas Wesleyan University.

Homecoming is a yearly event which brings together students, faculty,
and alumni to build and celebrate the community.

Jane Anderson, Alumni Relations Director, works almost year round to provide alumni and students the opportunity
to come together and enjoy the different events.

"Homecoming is a chance for alumni to come back to KWU and re-connect with the college and students through academics, arts, sports, and social events," Anderson said.
It's important for students to realize
how much the alumni can affect their way of life at KWU.

The new Student Life Center is being
built with donations from alumni and other generous people that want to see KWU thrive.
Along with various sporting events, homecoming weekend is also a time for alumni to be honored for their achievements in life.
The Alumni Dinner is held not only to unite past Coyotes, but also to honor and award them.

The Achievement Award goes to alum that has succeeded in their career field, the Service Award is presented to the person who has provided
outstanding services to KWU, and finally the Young Alumnus Award goes to alumni under the age of 35 who has been successful in their career
and on academic levels.

Keeping alumni integrated with the college helps boost support for future events.
Current students can show off their talents at the Wesleyan Showcase on Friday night, but don't be shocked to see alumni or faculty up on stage as well.

Anderson feels the talent show is a good way for alumni to view students being funny and zany. "It's also a way to have all ages involved in one event," Anderson said.
The talent show is open to all students,
faculty, and staff. If interested, contact Barbra Marshall.

Saturday is an event filled day with events starting at 8:00 a.m with the Fun Run/Walk and closing with the football game at 7:00 p.m against Southwestern College at Salina Stadium
