Jane Anderson, who is head of alumni affairs, is excited about alumni coming back to campus.
For Anderson and the staff it was a long process organizing and contacting
former students.
"It took about nine months to plan this event, we are all excited to see how it turns out," Anderson said.
John Pope, a senior from Irving, Texas, said, "I am anxious to see what
activities they have for the week."
There are lots of things going on during the week, but the weekend is where the most attention
will be paid.
For golf buffs there will be a free golf clinic at Salina municipal golf course on Friday September 28 at 10:30 a.m. Later that night, students and faculty will have a chance to put their talent on display at the talent show in Sam's Chapel at 8:00 p.m.
On Saturday, the women's soccer team hosts Sterling College at 11 a.m. At 1:00 the men's soccer team will also host Sterling College.
At 7 p.m., the Coyotes football team will play Southwestern
College at Salina Stadium.
"This game is very important to what we are trying to accomplish this season," Coach Dave Dallas said.
"It's a fun time for students and alumni."
"I enjoy seeing former players coming back to campus with a family and seeing how they are doing today," Dallas said
All sports expect to win and also put on a show for alumni on Saturday.
On Sunday the University choir will join the church choir.
Service will begin at 10:30am. There will also be a softball game as the faculty will play the women's softball team on Wednesday, Sept. 26, at 6 p.m.
