With one-third of the season already in the books, the Kansas Wesleyan Lady Coyotes are continuing their dominant play versus the KCAC conference.

In his first year as head volleyball
coach, Shawn Taylor has his ladies working hard to keep the continued success of the program. "We have a great opportunity to be immediately successful," said Coach Taylor before the season began.

And that success is undeniably showing, as the team has begun conference play with a 4-0 record. Its overall record is 9-6.
In a preseason poll, the Lady Coyotes were picked to finish fifth in conference play. As of Monday the 24th, the team was tied for 1st place with Bethany College. Wednesday night, Bethany defeated
the Lady Coyotes to move into sole position as conference leaders.

"Being picked fifth in the conference
was very offensive to me," said senior Whitney DuBois. "[Being
picked to finish fifth] keeps our team motivated; we're out to prove that we're better than our ranking suggests."
In support of their campaign, the Lady Coyotes have defeated the first-ranked Blue Jays of Tabor College and the third-ranked Falcons
of Friends University.

"We have a lot of good players on the team this year," said Dubois. "If we keep working hard at practice
and [if we] stay healthy, we should continue to play strong."
