Piano players win money, 'bunny' owner wins stuffed coyote

The 7th annual Wesleyan Showcase, produced by the KWU drama club, took place last Friday night.
Kristin Long won the $100 prize for first place. The song that she performed her own, an original composition on the piano. The lyrics to "It Is Over" spoke of her commitment and love for Jesus.
Erisa Ogawa came in second for a $75 prize with her piano solo.
In third place were Dane and Kenny Baxa, winning a $50 prize. Dane Played the piano and sang and Kenny played the cello in the duo's rendition of"Boston" by Augustana.
Dr. John Blackwell and Chelo Diaz were among the first to get the audience going with a duet of Brahm's Hungarian Dance.
Another act was Kenny Schneider's
rendition of "Green Eyes" by Cold Play. Before his performance, Schneider notified the crowd that this song was dedicated to his fiancée who happened to be in the crowd and that they were getting married in December.
The winner of the KWU Spirit Award was 1957 Alumni Chuck Allen who pantomimed Bert Hitchock's "Do You Wanna Buy a Bunny?" Allen is a true show of KWU spirit and his performance made the talent show unforgettable.
'Casey Barnes and Company' played their rendition of "Banana Pancakes by Jack Johnson.
