Philippians
4:13 -
"I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."
Have you ever set about to do a normal task and completely failed? Like when you fall up the stairs, or when you close your room door, only to realize that you have your car keys, but not your room keys? We all struggle with these mundane tasks of going up the stairs and leaving our rooms. But what makes it so frustrating?
The Lord says that we can succeed,
that we can do all things, so why do we fail? We think that the failure or success lies not in the task, but in the avenue or strength with which we approach the task. Can you run cross-country for Christ? Of course, you can! Can you study your text books for Christ? Sure you can!
But you cannot complain in Jesus name, and you cannot swear because of the step you tripped on in Christ's strength. Christ gives us strength to carry on with everyday tasks, and every situation, whether good or bad. You see, the failure or success does not lie in the performance of the task; that will take care of itself. The success
is measured by whose strength the task is performed in.
If you trip on a step, and react in your own strength by swearing, or letting letting
it ruin your day, you have failed at the task of climbing steps. But if you trip a thousand times every day and still abide in Christ's strength, then you have succeeded.
As you go about your day, think about why you do certain things. Are they for God's glory? If they are, you can be assured of success. Are you tripping in Christ's strength, or being the star of the show in your own strength? If you are tripping in Christ's strength, then we guarantee that you will fall right into unimaginable
blessings.
