Men's Soccer
After uncertain preseason outcomes, the Coyotes have come out victorious
in regular season play, beating Bethany in the last KCAC match to clinch the championship with a record of 8-0-1 in league play.

"We had a rough start to the season,
but I'm just glad that we were able to get it together for conference," said sophomore standout Shauny Thompson. "I'm excited to get anotherring."

The team was led by the scoring fancies of Mario Rodriguez who was Coyotes' offensive third. The 'Yotes finished the game with a 4-0 score and conquered the conference title once again.

The senior 'Yotes, contributed very well to their last home game and to the domination of the KCAC Conference.

Wesleyan finished its regular season with a 17-1 overall record, including 9-0 in KCAC play, and is riding a 13-match winning streak as the Lady Coyotes head into the KCAC Post-Season Tournament this weekend in Wichita.

Recently named First Team All-KCAC and Co-Defensive Player of the Year Marisa Brownell was ecstatic after the win.

"I'm so happy we won conference and we get a ring, but most of all that we have finally come together as a team. I cannot wait for the regional tournament where the stronger competitionin the country awaits."

Women's Soccer
The KWU Lady Coyotes have clinched the KCAC Conference Championship for the second year in a row. They finished league play with a record of 9 wins and 0 losses.
On Oct. 20, the Coyotes took on the Bethany Swedes and came out victorious to stay undefeated in conference.

KWU out-shot Bethany 58-0 throughout the match. Although they only could put away four goals, the shot ratio shows their total domination on the field. Twenty-nine of those shots came in the first half of play.

Except for one chance that the Swedes got deep into the KWU territory, the entire half was played on therecently named KCAC, Region IV and National Player of the week for his efforts against McPherson and Friends.

The men were ecstatic about their regained conference championship and poured a large Gatorade-water jug all over third-year Head Coach Mike Dibbini.

Thompson also mentioned that he was really excited to play teams outside of the conference and "to see what it's like to play against some top-notch and ranked teams."

The first-seeded Coyotes will get a taste soon after their KCAC Conference
Tournament this weekend in Wichita.
