The Kansas Collegiate Athletic Conference has announced the men's and women's brackets for the 2007 Post-Season Soccer Tournament which begins this week.
The tournament, as with all KCAC Post-Season action, is a non-pass event, with the exception of administrative (NAIA) and KCAC-issued passes.
Six teams on each side qualify for the tournament with the top two seeds receiving byes into the semi-finals.
Two quarterfinal matches are played at the home site of the higher seeds, and those winners advance to the semifinals which are held at Friends' Adair-Austin Stadium in Wichita.
On the men's side, regular season champion Kansas Wesleyan is the top seed in the tournament and receives a first round bye.
The Coyotes will face the winner of the No.5 Seed McPherson at No.4 Seed Sterling at 6 p.m. on Friday.
No.2 seeded Friends will face the winner of the No.6 Tabor at No.3 seeded Bethel on Friday at 8 p.m.
The semifinal winners will meet on Saturday at 3 p.m. for the KCAC Tournament Championship, which determines the automatic bid to regional play.
On the women's side, Kansas Wesleyan received No.1 seed and a first-round bye after capturing the regular season championship.
KWU will face the winner of Tuesday's No.5 Saint Mary at No.4 Sterling match on Friday at 11 a.m. in Wichita. McPherson, the No.2 seed in the tournament, also received a first round bye and will face the winner of No.6 Friends at No.3 Ottawa at 1 p.m. on Friday.
The semifinal winners will then meet on Saturday at 1 p.m. for the KCAC Tournament Championship, which determine the automatic bid to regional play.
