Although Bethany would lead throughout the game, the Coyotes managed to keep it close, shooting just 29 percent from the field.
The Swedes would go on a 12-4 run that pushed the lead to 35-25 with 2:51 left in the half, but the Coyotes would battle back before halftime going on a 9-1 scoring run of their own, going into halftime at 36-34.
Bethany came out scoring in the second half, and quickly increased their lead to 10 with 13:16 to go in the game.
Wesleyan would battle back and get within seven points thanks to an open floor lay-up from junior guard Emily Luckeroth.
The Swedes then went on a 6-0 run to put Bethany up 60-47 with 10:04 left. Wesleyan continued to battle back, with Luckeroth capping off a 9-1 Coyote run with 5:09 left in the game, cutting the Bethany lead to 5 at 65-60.
Bethany then answered back with five straight points of their own to take a 10 point advantage with 2:30 left in the game.
Senior guard Kelli Berg would get Wesleyan as close as six with 1:43 left, but Bethany proved too strong and won the game by a final score 77-67.
Luckeroth led the Coyotes with 20 points while Wesleyan senior forward Tierra Baldwin posted her second straight double-double of the season with 13 points and 11 rebounds in just 16 minutes of playing time.
The Coyotes were a dismal 20 of 70 from the field, including going just 2 of 21 from behind the 3 point arc.
The Coyotes did however win the rebounding battle 54-39 with Baldwin and senior Charressa Gray each grabbing 11 boards for the Coyotes.
