After two back-to-back wins this past week the Kansas Wesleyan University men's basket ball team is on a roll.
Kansas Wesleyan men's basketball team survived its first nail biting finish this season against rival Bethany College.
As time ran out senior Tony Boone hit a breathtaking half-court shot to seal the game against the rival Swedes.
Boone a senior from Phoenix, said, "It was a once in a lifetime moment, to hit the big shot against our rival in my senior season, I'm cherishing it."
Trey Sims, a junior from Tulsa, Okla., led the coyotes with 22 points. Willie McCarty a sophomore from Omaha, Nebraska contributed 13 points to the 69-66 win.
Saturday night's game was a complete domination for the running yotes as they ran past Southwestern College 70-55.
Sims along with teammate Mychal Henderson a junior from Woodbridge, Va., led the team with 18 points. Romero Hood a sophomore
from Phoenix, added 13 points to the Yotes' win.
Standing at 11-10 the men's team has found its stride and is playing up to their potential.
When asked about the season Boone said, "It's going good. We have finally found our chemistry. We had to find our identity as a team for this season and put last season behind us."
He also said, "We have come along way since the beginning of the season. I'm proud to be on this team."
