my fellow Coyotes. Once again, you have turned to this page for your weekly dose of the Inside Scoop with Coop.

This week, the column focuses on the profiles and current status of a few artists in the music industry. We will cover artists in the genres of Pop, Hip Hop, R&B and Country.

Flo Rida is the rapper known best for the smash-hit single "Low." The song also features singer T-Pain. It has just set a record for its 13th week on top of the RingMasters chart. The mark was previously set by Soulja Boy's "Crank Dat," which held strong for 12 straight weeks. The song is also on the soundtrack for the movie "Step Up 2." Rida was born Tramar Dillard. He started his music career at the age of 15.

He went from being in a childhood group Groundhoggs to being a hype man for Fresh Kid Ice of 2 Live Crew. Soon after, he ventured out on his own to Cali. to hone his skills. Though he was preened by many A&Rs and producers, he still faced trying times. Aside from going from motel to motel and getting shut down by label after label, 'Rida kept pushing. Years later, he found himself back in his home state, inking a joint deal with Poe Boy/ Atlantic Records. His CD "Mail on Sunday" drops later this year.

Usher was born Usher Raymond IV in Chattanooga, Tenn. on Oct. 14, 1978. Usher was spotted by a LaFace record executive at a talent show in his hometown of Atlanta. The 14-year-old auditioned for LaFace Records's cofounder L.A. Reid and was signed to a recording contract. By the time that he graduated high school, he was releasing his sophomore album "My Way." Currently Usher has just posted the third largest jump on the Billboard Charts as he moved 50 spots to No.1 with his hit single "Love in This Club."
Carrie Underwood was born March 10, 1983 in Checotah, Okla. As a young girl she competed incalled the many talent shows and had her first studio recording session at the age of 13.
After winning the fourth season has been linked linked to Gossip Girl's Chace Crawford. At the 2007 Grammys, she received the Best New Artist and Best Female Country Vocal Performance awards. She is currently celebrating her 25th birthday and enjoying her many successes.
