Rumors of a new meal plan have spread across the campus of Kansas Wesleyan.
With the addition of the new Students Activities Center, there will be a new place to purchase meals and snacks. The Sub will also be moved to the Student Activities Center.
The first option is to keep the students' meal plan as it currently is. That's breakfast, lunch and dinner at the cafeteria.
Option two is that breakfast and lunch can be eaten at either the cafeteria
and/or the Student Activities Center. Dinner can only be eaten in the cafeteria.
The school will then add $100 of flex money to the student's meal plan. That money can be used to purchase meals and other snack food from the Student Activities Center.
Option three is to have breakfast, lunch and dinner to be eaten in the cafeteria as part of the regular meal plan. There would be $100 flex cash added to pay for meals and other snacks eaten at the Student Activities Center.
Heather Smith, director of student life, stated that the change has not yet been made.
She wanted to know how the student body felt about the options before making the change. The plan will be changed by the start of next year, Fall semester of 2008.

As the parent of a student I hate the existing meal plan. My son is required to participate and hardly ever eats in the cafeteria. He likes the breakfast but says in general the food is terrible. (Continued…)
