When Harvard Med. accepts MIT student Ben Campbell (Jim Sturgess), the only thing keeping him from entering those hallowed halls is money. But Ben soon discovers that there are more than scholarships to help with his tuition. Inspired by true events, "21" tells the story of six M.I.T. students who forever changed the game of blackjack. They travel to Vegas and, utilizing their brilliant minds with the help of an equally brilliant professor (Kevin Spacey), make more money in one night than they ever believed possible. But, will Ben be able to keep his lust for money in check, or will he and his friends find themselves gambling on a bet that they can't afford?
"21" has a talented cast, a witty and engaging script, and, most importantly, a vividly rich story line. The only flaw to be found was in the cinematography. Some of the scenes have the look of being cheaply filmed. Overall, this is a movie with suspense, twists and turns and is definitely worth taking a gamble to go see!
