U.S. presidential debates are over and the results are in...
Senators John McCain and Barack Obama met for three 90 minute televised debates where they discussed polices and why they should become president. The final debate was on Oct. 15. Each debate was a little different. The first debate was very traditional with each senator standing behind a podium and arguing the questions given by the moderator and then each other.

-The bodies of the double homicide victims in Salina were identified as Taryn Dechant and Ernest Jones Jr., who's obituary read he was hoping to be a Kansas Wesleyan football player next year. - A small plane crashed on I-135 Saturday afternoon, 2 miles north of Salina.

All spectators at KWU sporting events this year have heard this cheer chanted. It might seem insignificant, but it symbolizes the forming of traditions the spirit-squad is trying to generate for the future. The cheerleaders and dancers have been working extra hard this year to make the atmosphere surrounding games and activities better than it has been in the past.

Even though there was cool weather, the constant rain didn't stop people from attending KWU's chapel service on Monday, Oct. 13, because there was hardly an empty seat in the church. Marcia MacLennan, professor of English and Religion, told her favorite parable of "The Laborers in the Vineyard" which can be found in Mathew 20: 1-16.

Investigating Kansas

The 12th annual photography invitational was held, Oct. 14 in Sam's Hall of Fine Arts. The theme for the gallery talk was Investigating Kansas. A few artists were there to explain their work. One photographer, Kent Berquist, explained how he developed his film, and mentioned about how he uses contact prints.

Halloween is right around the corner, and if you don't have any Halloween costume ideas yet, or just want something easy and inexpensive, here are some ideas for you. If you're a girl, try being Paris Hilton. Being Paris is easy! Men's, Women's soccer clinch second straight KCAC titles with 9-0 records

When Kansas Wesleyans soccer teams entered conference play with a combined five wins and eleven losses, the only people who didn't seem to worry were the Coyotes themselves. After starting off their seasons struggling to get into the win column, both the men and women's soccer teams have emerged as one of the elite programs in the KCAC and back into the national spotlight with the women holding strong to the #25 national ranking and the men on the bubble and receiving votes.

Debate and Forensics has sucessful start

Only three tournaments into the season, and the debate and forensics team have already brought home a number of trophies and debated competitors from around the world. So far this season, the Coyote speech team has participated in The University of Central Michigan "Mule Swing," the Sterling College and Barton Community College "Debates on a Plain" and last weekend the team traveled with their European friends to Arkansas for the John Brown University tournament.
